it was in the bottom of a box not turning on, no accessories, so bit of a gamble really...but quick charge and its fine apart from a slightly tempremental speaker... Anyway ill get some more pics up n answer questions when i get back on the pc

right in answer to all your questions:
@goldenface: took about 45 mins to 1hr 15, cant really say cos i didnt time it, was harder than a candybar but not too hard as i used this guide:

When I changed the case on my S700i it was a bloody nightmare so well done.

thinking about getting a new keypad and the rubber pads and maybe the charger plug thingy that seems to have got lost
and im kinda unsire how to fix this speaker...both the side and back are very quiet...i prosume the side speaker is normal and the back should be louder as when i opened it up the back speaker was covered in iron filings and i think it got damaged by that

The speaker on the S700i I had was covered in dust and when I gave it a good clean it was fine. Take the vacuum to it and see what happens....

Nice one! I'm just waiting on delivery of a similar W550i, this one's apparently fully working but has come off thew swivel or something, only cot me a tenner! i'm hopefully getting it soon - depends on the mail, who are on strike again!
Will probably copy you and start a thread and post pics if i can get it fixed.
