Actually 4GB. I'm using a 4GB M2 stick right now.

I realise that, but I'm not using a 4GB yet (they are not available in Brisbane at the moment)

Do you really want a CF card hanging out of the back end of your phone?

If it meant that we get CF ethernet, modems and time machines in our phones, then yes I most certainly would like to have a CF card in my K800

Typical Recent SE. Try to make us pay more for things we don't need to pay for.

from the posts i read here, does that mean that the ms pro duo are here to stay? what's the roadmap for their capacity, will we be seeing them in 16gb and 32gb variants?

will they work on older phones/gadgets that use ms pro duo like w800, p990i, etc? thanks

I cant see Sony (SE dont make memory cards) stopping the development of the MS Duo as it is still widely used by things like digital cameras and PSP's. Saying that though, I do use a 2gb M2 in my P990i with a Duo adapter so Sony could do that. With the new M2 8GB nearly here and the Duo only going to 8GB I dont see why they still need the Duo when a M2 with adapter will do.

MS Duo is here to stay. Maybe not in mobile phones, but certainly in Cameras, Video Cameras and other Sony hosts. Duo will be huge in video cameras, as Sony is going away from tape and using MS Duo to capture HD Video.

You should look for the new MS PRO Duo-HG, which will be 3x faster than standard MS Duo - 45MB/sec. It's coming out already and is made for the new line of Sony Alpha Cameras.
