The E65 supports both WiFi b AND g, but the P1i would be better, especialy Multimedia wise, but since E65 is a s60 Symbian remember it has wider range of appz

I used to have an E65 and though it was a pretty good phone but in my opinion, smartphones that lack QWERTY and/or touschscreen are more or less the same as any dumphone. the lack of input methods really inhibits use of all "smart" functions. of course, most Nokia smartphone fans wont agree with that statement.

Of course, one of the main difference is the keyboard.
Typing a long email on the E65 would really be tiresome. I'm not saying you would write an essay on the P1i but you can type faster for much longer.

You should take that into account as well. If you expect to type emails, P1 would be better, if you're planning on reading only you could go for e65 (which I like for his form factor, really slim and small).
Hope it helps

Also you should have a look at wm (tytn) style devices. The biggest drawback with P1i is not the relatively insane price (as with any new devices) but the lack of (free) software ! Tipping a email using t9 is quite fast (less buttons to press) and touch screen makes the screen/device even less usefull outdoors ! If you can test both devices under 'the circumstances' you'll use them later and then decide

but Windows devices's battery life is not impressive. way below the standards of symbian devices

I currently use e65, and its a good device, but that's my first nokia since a good while because i used to be a true SE fan. One thing that i hate about e65 is that i got it in mocha brown, beautiful color, but now couple of months later, it is peeling off. it looks disgusting, my friend has an e65 and he peeled off the rest of the paint himself and now, mocha brown turned to sh*t stain brown.

i would love to switch to P1i, but three things that sorta stop me from doin it
1. money...
2. video quality.
The video quality on e65 is simply awesome, it is mp4 with the 352x288 resolution. very good quality for a phone with a crapy 2.0mp camera, however P1i has pretty much the same cam as k800i with 3.2mp and gives you 19th century 3gp format.
3. im not 100% on this, but i dont think the screen is gonna be very good compared to e65, i dont mean the colors and all, cud care less, is the visibility of the screen on a sunny day, i remember my m600i was a nightmare to look at during the day, e65 has a mirror built in or smtn like that so it reflects the sunlight, just like the k800.

with video quality, it aint like im gonna be filmin hours with it, but for 700$ (thats how much it is overhere with 3 yrs warranty) u wud expect a decent video reflection

one more thing, with my e65 i can save my messages directly to my memory card and by now i have over 500 messages on it, my m600 had fixed number of stored messages, so thats another thing
