SE never said they have autofocus in video mode. they never advertise it and not said in the white paper. so if u dont like this u cant blame SE. they didnt cheat u. it was u who didnt see this thing before buying. i think it is totally ur point. now i finally think this is the last FW with least bugs SE ever produced am i right?

I'm talking about the RDS function- it was advertised and now it is STILL NOT working as advertised. And when I bought the phone, the video had autofocus, it was only after R5A that they took that feature out, so you can't really blame me for being pissed as these are valid arguments. Of course autofocus is not in the whitepaper but it was given to us, and taking it away after we have enjoyed it is nothing short of diabolical.

I understand tht u got that facility and now it is gone dont feel good. but what i wanted to say those thing which are offered in whitepaper like animated wallpaper still are missing. So now if they took away such feature which is not even mentioned in white paper u cant blame them. u can only blame them which is mentioned and couldnt delivered by them. am i right peoples?

Even the option to turn off the menu transitions is not mentioned on the whitepaper either they just have to add/remove such feature in order not to sacrifice RAM performance. did you know that even autofocusing requires RAM usage? especially since the feature you're missing is the AF in video application which excessively eats RAM moe than what the still does?

RDS is in whitepaper and it's not working- that's what I mean. The autofocus issue is just typical SE insensitivity and total disregard of their customers, having the right doesn't necessarily mean what you're doing is right.

I don't eat the fact that if we'd had AF in video mode we'd had less ram; I guess it's API, and it takes ram as still pictures does.
Quoting from SE site about K750 about camera http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]emplate=pip3&zone=pp&pid=10242

Camera

Auto focus
Camera 2-megapixel
Photo light
Video record

About P990 http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]emplate=pip3&zone=pp&pid=10336

Camera

Auto focus
Camera 2-megapixel
Digital zoom 2.5x
Photo light
Video record

About W800 http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]emplate=pip3&zone=pp&pid=10245

Camera

Auto focus
Camera 2-megapixel
Digital zoom 4x
Photo light
Video record

So do you see any differences? Except digital zoom.
As far as I remember, K750 and W800 could shoot movies using flash, I know w800 can do it for sure.
Does P990 have this option?
I remember they (k750 & w800) had a square in the middle for helping me taking pictures and movies, and showing me on which zone it will focus.
Does P990 have this option?
I remember K750 & w800 had AF in video mode.
Does P990 have this option?
Why I've bought p990 instead of M600? FOR CAMERA!!! I didn't bought it for that 802.11 b crap, because I had a better device, Fujitsu Siemens N560 (VGA screen, 624 Intel cpu, GPS, 802.11 G, Windows mobile, Real Office not that crappie Quickoffice, and so on).
So I took P990 for camera, and my experiences with K750 & w800 were good, so I expect to see the damn square in the middle, I expect that damn AF, and I want that small command that start the flash in movie mode. They should give that and some more for free, after so many decisions (I will give updates, tomorrow will be the last, next week we'll give you another update, so many bugs, etc.).
Man I paid the money for a device, more than I'd paid for a notebook, and they're playing with our minds.
For all these faults, I expect to receive flash player for opera, I don't care who has to sign SE, Adobe or Opera, I want something more, only for this s***y strategy.
I will say no more!

Who else says that RDS is not working?
Or is it @Mode which is not working?

My RDS is working just fine

If you mean AF, yes it works.

Just to clarify the rds thing:

It does not work as expected (no scrolling), but it works as it has been 'developed' by the junkies, sorry, developers at SE.

That's why it still sucks and why they haven't changed it in any fw.

Check the manual..
