i was just wondering but....

surely an MSPD is cheaper than an M2,

with the M2 being newer out and all that??

so would it really be worth buying an M2 and using the converter when a MSPD would be cheaper???

If you plan on using newer SE phones, you don't have a choice but get an M2 stick as newer SE phones from now on only take M2 sticks, not MSDP.

Perfectly right, all new phones use the M2. If you have an older phone, most of the M2 cards have an adapter packed with it so you can use it in Duo Pro phones.

I use my M2 in both the K800 (M2) and the K750 (MSDP)

If you plan on buying it for the W810, then yes it will be "cheaper" to get a MSDP.

But if you plan on getting a newer SE phone that uses M2 sticks, then you'll be forced to buy an M2 stick anyways.

So in short term, yes it'll be cheaper, in the long run you'll be spending more.

Not exactly true that all future SE phones will only take M2 - K850i will take either an M2 or MicroSD.
Some Sony laptops have appeared with SD readers instead of memory stick too.
Is this a sign that the Memory stick days are numbered?
