Black seems quite plasticky in photos, but I do like the combo better than the yellow one.

if people should'nt buy a phone because it once had problems, then why do people buy samsung and nokia? they still have many problems that aren't fixed.
the yellow one isn't to girlish, its quite special, but so is the black/green one.
i would say: meditate and go with you guts.
