So far the offers don't seem to be reliable. Africa as a continent has a bad name for scammers so sorry. Besides you both have only few posts in this forum. I hope there are more people interested in this.

"Africa as a continent has a bad name"

I can't believe there are still such ignorant people in the world. Many people would say similar things about Eastern Europe. Loser.

...because at the beginning oif this thread you state that what you are primarily after is advice. How do you expect to receive any advice, without divulding more details about your operation and plans?

well, naplander, i wasn't accusing THE whole continent of Africa or all of its people for being bad, i just said what reputation a had made about it from various sites on the web, including ebay (Nigerian scammers ect.). Why do you think that people who are selling their stuff on ebay say that they don't want any nigerian buyers? This just does not happen accidentally. Anyway, i' am not saying anything similar about anyone here, just being cautious, thats all. And please don't insult people only because of the place they live in, and besides my country is in the EU, and we have VERY strict regulations on the way that we do business, countries don't just become EU members for having bad reputations.

I hope that this thread doesn't become a discussion about nationalities, i want it to be strictly mobile business based. Thank you.

Wuz, i can tell you my business model, not my plan.

The way i' am planing on doing business, is to have an online store dealing in mobile phones. For the supply chain, i' am searching for a partner that could supply me phones. For the domestic part, i have partners, that can provide warranties, ads and clients.

The reason that i' am not planing on a physical store, is that you really can get all of the info about mobile devices from the web, you don't need to smell, touch or see them in your hand.

The advices that i' am asking for, are your experience in this area, or maybe you know some trends that are happening in your region/country/town. Or maybe thoughts about this business. This is what i need.

Fair enough.

In that case, the one piece of advice I can give you is learn from the best.
Dialaphone are the largest direct dealers of mobile phones in the UK.
They were the first to advertise mobiles in the national newspapers back in the 90's and have subsequently migrated a large % of their sales online.
Check out their website - www.dialaphone.co.uk

Thank you Wuz.

It was interesting to hear some details on someones success story, even though it was very short. I would like to hear more, and with much more detail.

Every country has its own time line for change, what is happened in one country 5 years ago, maybe starting in some other now. So it is very interesting what specific details do you know about your own market (mobile phone market).
