Globe MMS CS service is horrible... I ended up signing up for MMS over WAP... took 10 seconds..now MMS works perfectly. Lesson with Globe, trust OTA more than CS idiots.
Smart... GPRS service is very, very limited. Smart brags about a lot of services they have (GPRS, HSCSD) but these aren't FULLY operational (hmmm... I'm not surprised since they are one and the same with PDLT)
So far, I'm happier with Globe. Their CS sucks... but over-all GSM service is pretty ok, even out of town. I get good GPRS even in places Smart can't...so I'm happy. Another plus is that Globe is NOT a PLDT partner/sister company...I'd go with Globe just for that. I'd rather have my money go to an Ayala firm, than PLDT.
I do however like Smart's locator service.

globe is a lot cheaper than smart overall.
fact 1 - globe replenishes your prepaid text credit monthly
fact 2 - globe has cheaper rates if you call another globe phone on a non peak hour
fact 3 - globe has more tie ups with establishments for their gentxt card

1- True, but Smart gives you free txts when you reload your phone
2- Dunno, they look the same to me.
3- True;
Cons:
1. Globe can be a real PAIN to text with; lags, etc. esp. during holiday season. Smart sends all the time, on time
2. Globe's voice quality when linking to landlines is lousy; Smart all the way!

4 - Globe GPRS is still free!!! Rashkae, what about your Smart? Can you go wapping 24/7 without worrying for your bill?
(well i hope this grasya can extend a bit longer)

hmmm, subjective but here goes...
Smart's GPRS IS FULLY operational as far as i'm concerned. Their HSCSD was unplugged already as i've announced last year pa and they're not bragging about it.
Compare Smart and Globe billing BEFORE you say Globe is cheaper.
I'm a subscriber of both. And Globe customer service SUCKS! At least with Smart, my complaints are handled WELL.
YMMV

prepaid users
if you're a heavy txter, get smart...the more card you load, the more free txt you get (33 free txt for a 300peso smart call card)
if you're a heavy caller, get globe...its 3 pesos per min on globe to globe calls on OFF PEAK hours (10pm-8am & the whole Sunday)...globe only gives you a 50 free txt per month, regardless of how many & any amount of call card you load.
