here in belgium you can find them simlockfree for about 330 euros with 2 years warranty. but i went for the p1i anyway (550 euros)

As far as i know ALL Sony Ericsson UIQ3.0 phones (P990, W950, M600 and P1) are made in France.

I paid US$ 850 too. Now here in Peru they cost about 300-330 but used. No operator sells it anymore. I recently trade mine, P990 plus US$ 200 and they gave a brand new P1i (there is a thread about that deal). Never will buy a phone so early. Besides, P990 is a total nightmare. I'm more than happy now with P1i.
