Hi,
I just got my T68 operated by OI in Brazil. I couldn't setup POP3 e-mail, even using IP address instead names. I think OI may be blocking ports 110/25 in the gateway between their GPRS network and the Internet. I always get a message "Server Not Found"
Someone can help us? TIA
Eduardo

Eduardo, have you tried using a normal GSM (not your GPRS) connection to check your e-mail?

Hello everyone
I have just discovered this forum, and hope that you may be able to help me! I have joined T-Mobile, and now have a T68i. I'm trying to set up an e-mail account to mirror my PCs e-mail account with currantbun.com. The problem I am having is that every time I try to connect, I get the Server not found message. I think it may be because the pop3 and smtp addresses I typed are text and not IP. does anyone know how I can find out what the IP address should be for:
pop3.currantbun.com
smtp.currantbun.com
any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Paul

You don't actually need to use the IP coz you can use the name servers itself.

@yellowtrophy
The IP addresses are:
pop3.currantbun.com - 212.74.112.95
smtp.currantbun.com - 212.74.114.61
Just open a Command Prompt and type:
ping (server name)
That should give you the IP address.

@2Tangy
Tks for it, but I've tried unsucessfully use GSM Data instead. It seems to me that the OI operator is blocking tcp ports 110/25 to avoid this use.
Still trying, I put a lot of money in T68 to use POP3 features.
