Hi largepig, post your settings, include everything but your password, we'll sort it out, I have Outlook and my T68i logging on to o2 via GPRS and exchanging mail.

In other words, they won't tell you how to do it, cuz when you think about it, it's a huge can of worms. That doesn't mean it can't be done of course.. as you know!

Hi,

I have recently brought a t68i and communicam. I have managed to set up all my mms settings and wap things but can't get the email settings to work for o2. Sometimes I get Mailbox or Password wrong or other times it can't find server.

I know it works because I managed to get a virgin account working using a isp number but when its an 0845 noumber it'll cost a bomb so I wanted to access my O2 mail using the free wap dial up or gprs i don't mind which

Thanks again

Chris

think when i set up my virgin account, it was easy, virgin even sent me an e-mail, on wot to use, and Orange even showed me where to input the details, but i did make a few miss-take (user error).

but 1 thing that i found out on pop3, if i add the 3 it didn't work.
eg
pop3.virgin.net - didn't work
pop.virgin.net - did work

not sure if this also work for O2, but u can try it.

Finally i got my email to work on O2. now i can use the free 91500 to send and recieve email from my o2.co.uk mail account. Thanks to G0TRT who put up the post of the settings! It was mentioned they were for GPRS but it works via GSM WAP too so thats ok! Now i can send those communicam pics back to myself. Surprisingly the camera is actually very good, resolution is very impressive!!! Just in case anyone is still wondering what those settings are for o2 UK email with t68i. . . i have copied and pasted what i used. . . .

Connect using - O2 WAP GPRS (courtesy of the O2 configurator)
Protocol - POP3
Inc. Server - 193.113.160.13
Incoming Port - 110
Mailbox - "something"@o2.co.uk
Password - "your password"
Outgoing server - 193.113.160.13
Outgoing port 25
email address - "something"@o2.co.uk

This has taken me 3 months to get these settings!!!!!!

can you download your mail from O2 to your Outlook account? Do you do this via the T68 or is there a direct dialup to O2 with a username and password for the dialup?

thanks!
