here's one for you: how you can find a phone number via bluetooth(when it's activated, obviously)?

use the java app BT Info to remote control the other phone and make it send you a text (then you will get the number) - the connection needs to be accepted by the other party though.

it certainly can, but you can't see the screen so you have to use another SE phone to work out exactly what to press (since you can't see the phone screen itself)

With BT info, you can remote control the other phone. I've done it - it works a treat. I have an old K750 I use as a test bed - it's pcb is damaged and the joystick and half the keys don't work. So when I need to manipulate the menu on the phone, I use BT INFO to operate the joystick and faulty keys.

@ tranced: if CIA accepts me only because I want to find a phone number it's great.

Ok i downloaded BT Info and i even tested on a friend, Nokia 6234.
all i could do is to view her agenda, and a few sms.
But after a few connections my phone turned off. and restarted.
And when i connected with her phone on her screen pop-up a messager
: "Allow K750i Bogdan to make a dial-up with your phone? Accept or Reject"

And if she didn't wanted to accept my connection, press reject!

I tried also to connect with a SE T 630i. He had the bluetooth activated and i connected with the phone without he notice.

After that I could do everything what i wanted with his phone:
call others
reject calls
read messages
open camera
take pictures
dial any number or code,

The main advantage is that he couldn't turn off the bluetooth after my connection was active. After i finished with him ... he could close bluetooth.

It's a great software, but unfortunately it works better on connections between two SE products than a SE and Nokia, or Samsung.

I've thought that bt info was designed for phones. You can use all its features on a phone. Despite other phones like the ones you mentioned, bogdan.
