It's an awesome phone, great for music, games and videos, as always with SE phones, the software is fantastic and the phone is really sleek and stylish.
The only problem is the cracking keys, I've had 2 S500i's already, and the keys have cracked on both. Try and get a model made alot after production week 27, they've supposedly fixed the problem.

You dont need me to send it, after a certain time you get that display from everchanging, its like day & night after a certain time the theme changes colour.

I don't think so...my phone has been on everchanging ever since I got it, and yes, it changes colour, but I've never seen that flash menu. You must be mistaken?

Hey airguitar I KNOW EXACTLY what u mean. i was looking around for a new phone so i watched all the vids on the s500i and loved the look and the menus. but when i got the phone i just had one menu (the basic cartoony one) when i changed the themes it kept the same menu.
am currently still looking around for an answer. maybe they changed it with the new phones but i doubt that. got mine yesterday.
will let u know if i find anything.
Edit= mine was locked with virgin and since they brand it to have there menu i dont have the flash menus till i get it unlocked or flash it.

Hi. I got myself a s500i the other day. but i was very close to get tha w580i instead. Sooo! i just flashed my s500i into w580. Works like a charm. got the walkman in it now. added new themes. ringtones, pictures. training programs, games, all changes. AND still got the flash lite s still in it.
But the s500i themes was gone. So i had to reopen the phone in xs++ and add the theme back in it. The everchanging theme and the dayandnight theme. are not just a theme. its more like a program for the phone. The theme itself is quite easy. a simple thm file. But what about all the other files in the theme. This is how the folder settup looks like for the everchanging theme.
tpa - preset - System - Desktop - Flash
tpa - preset - System - Standby - Flash
tpa - User - Theme
Thats the folder setup for the everchanging that need to go in to the right folders in the phone system. the thm files itself is named
* E1.thm - E2.thm - E3.thm - E4.thm - E5.thm
And is 40kb each
To deskop the flash object is 196kb
To Standbye the flash object are 441kb
This u gotta go threw to install DayandNight too..
Do u wanna have help flashing ure Sony Ericsson or just simply add themes to the system. You can add me on MSN:
