Let's not forget that if you put it as your wallpaper, you ARE running a Java app. all the time on your home screen. But I doubt it's that tough on the phone's resources.

Yep, I know. However, I believe that the animation stops once the phone shows the clock to save power.

Have tried it for some time and I just can't understand why I have to keep it running as it makes the phone slow down...an ordinary .gif wallpaper may perform better.
