There is a lot to be gained from these two coming together. They aren't exactly direct competitors at the moment and with HTC's smartphones meteoric rise coupled with SE's now growing feature phone market share they would make a good team.

After the debacle over the P990 I suspect someone in SE management wants to 'put the fire' under the Symbian-centric Smartphone group. By now if SE had better management we would have many many SE Smartphones, given their pedigree based on the P800, P900 & P910. Gross mis-management of their Symbian IP and so now they have to turn to Windows Mobile to rescue them! Worst case scenario, the WM will be mainly for the US market and we can hopefully have the real successor to the P910.
