Depends on the phone. K800 can do 240x320 for example.

Correct, 220x176 won't playback on K750. The K750 vide playback size is 176x144, even though you can run video in fullscreen mode so that it takes up the whole 220x1760 screen, it's actually only 176x144 video resized to fit the screen. To prove it, if you play a good quality 220x176 on the K750 in fullscreen mode, you will notice it's still pixelated as if it was 176x144 video resized to 220x176. This is because the video player can only playback at 176x144, so any larger video is sized down to 176x144. Then if you use fullscreen mode, it simply resizes the 176x144 output up to 220x176. But understand this is the 176x144 output stream being resized upwards, so it doesn't actually bring back the quality fo the original 220x176video.
Basically, even though it can resize video to fullscreen, it's still only 176x144 PIXELS, that's why it looks pixelated.
