the only reason i ask this is because i had a w950i before and hated it. mainly because of the inability 2 use the whole phone from the d pad. can you navigate the whole phone using the d pad on the p990i?

If you're talking about just the music features, yes, you can navigate everything from the d-pad, get a 3rd party app(ie. swiss mgr pro) and you can watch movies, organize your files, cleanup any unwanted running programs, etc from your d-pad. If you wanna navigate the web using the d-pad, download opera mini for free and use it with your wifi network. That is why the P990 flip is still relevant because at the end of the day, it just wants to be Clark Kent after being Superman, a normal phone after being a computer

well i moved from a p990i to w880i! lol. Now i have a tytn2 and the w880... my advice is... buy a p1i and keep your w880 as your 2nd phone cause it fits every pocket without notice... stay away from p990... too bulky, bad battery life, buggy and the phone is almost useless with the flip on. Another option will be waiting for the w960

just curious but was wondering what is wifi
whre have you been for the last 4 years??? just kidding... wifi is wireless fidelity, just like bluetooth but with a 50 feet range and 56mbps speed. it's actually LAN without wires. so you can surf the internet in coffee shops, retos, airports, etc.

sorry im not a geek yet mate, im trying though jkin mate

i just know that stuff as WAN cos like computers and stuff...but yeah cheers

Wan is actually Wide Are Network. WIFI is sometimes called WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network). Geek time finished.

WAN = wide area network, not wide are network ...english spelling/typing lesson time finished
