i'd go for HTC tytn II, the e90 hav nothing extraordinary when u open the flip, unlike the feeling u have towards 9210/9500/9300 when u open the flip. gave u shiverring, but in e90 most of the job easily done when the flip is closed so less challenging

tytnII is a very good one and i vote for it.. i gave away my e90 for tytnII
Much smaller and fast good UI, no hard ware issues, plenty of 3rd party applications, good sync with my pc, Touch screen( so vital) and so on...
there are some things on the lower side like not a great camera and being a windows mobile , it feels more like a pda than phone but e90 feels more like a phone than pda

How about the E-ten Glofiish M800? seems similar in spec to the TyTn but with a VGA screen.

I wondered when someone would mention that one

I saw the pre-production X800 at cebit back in March and this M800 is a variant but with a slide keyboard

At the time I cmopared it with the (original) TyTN I had at that time and didn't really think the screen was much better, if at all. I really think you need more than a 2.8" screen to get much benefit from VGA. (My old iPAQ 4700 with a fantastic 4" screen showed how well VGA works)

Also, IMHO, HTC wins in the styling department!

that said, its certainly worthy of consideration for anyone wanting this kind of device

@ masseur

I have the same feeling about the screen. VGA compared to QVGA on a 2.8" screen isnt going to make much difference. Styling wise it is a bit plain as well.

Its definately one to consider though, if you are in the market for this type of device (which i currently am) but i personally feel that the TyTn is the better choice at this point in time.
The E90 doesnt do it for me, it is still a bit of a 'brick' in my eyes. Plus im not really a nokia fan.

For me, VGA vs QVGA makes a huge difference, four times better to be exact (QVGA is 76.8 Kpixels while VGA is 307.2 Kpixels). I wouldn't hesitate picking the M800 before the TyTN II. Or maybe I would... Apparently ETEN is not famous for the excellent build quality of their devices.

mathematically you are correct, of course, but having seen the two screens side by side its clear that maths is not all there is to it

M800 comes only 64mb RAM which i think is very insufficient for a VGA screen running some extensive programs, havent tried it thoug, but i think it should be a 128mb instead
