v3 is indeed included with the K850i.
A lot nicer, faster and more features like better file transfer with phone in phonemode and so on.
Oh, you can now store a backup of your phone and also send sms and make and send mms in PC suite.
One minor stepback is that you can't seem to get the sync details in the report. That is, you can only see the amount of contacts or calendar events that are changed/added/removed but not wich ones in detail.

I'm not a computer expert, but I think what would need to happen is someone would need to create an image of the CD and post that, as opposed to what I'm imagining people are doing and simply zipping the contents of the CD.
