no offence, but in that way 50% of the threads are pointless on esato... i think its ok, when ppl wanna compare their fones among each other, to be sure if its just her/his fone or a general bug, just as like the k850 dusty thread... its good to share and discuss every single issue, one of the main reason ppl come here

I think this is a pretty poor indication of build quality. I mean, Sony Ericsson should know how to make a nice and sturdy battery cover, seeing as this is taken from Sony's Cyber-shot cameras (which are securely made).

What creaks here is the housnig at the back, probably because there it little to support it at the point it means the sliding bottom/battery cover
as you've mentioned Sony cybershots its also worth mentioning that you almost never open those whereas on phones we frequently open and close to change sim/memory card and sometimes battery so things are likely to loosen up.
I think there are very few phones that don't creak aroundsome part of their housing

CAUTION: Cardboard may ignite.. although I'm not sure whether the phone gets so heated.

"For a premium priced phone, K850 build quality should be impeccable. Why the heck should anyone need to stuff a piece of cardboard to fix problem is really downright inexcusable for SE. With the creaking and loose case and dust under screen/lens, everyone stay clear of K850"
