I got used to it in about 5 minutes. For games though, it took a little while longer, and I find that I can now play 2 handed again like you used to play snake on an old nokia
After getting used to it, i prefer it over a joystick - and i never thought i would. I can play a game for longer without my thumb seizing up and hurting.

No matter how sucky it is, it is definitely better than the joysticks (especially the K750).

i'm finding the d-pad ok.
has anyone tried using an non-touch screen phone after the k850-i was trying to access the menus on my k800 by pressing the non-existant touch screen!!!

Who cares about games.
I dont have a k850 (yet) but it will most likely be better than my dead k750 joystick.
One good thing about my dead joystick is that i've gotten used to using the keypad# to navigate.. so i probably wont use the dpad that much anyway

pile of rubish, how stupid to put a dpad in the middle of the number keys.
Then where do you want to put that Dpad instead? don't you think that the space that should be the place for the dpad was used by the softkets and display? perhaps you want it to be brick to put that dpad besides the softkeys which terribly increases it's length which is more rubbish
i dont no cos im not a designer but its something SE should think of, not me.
i mean, its not as if theyve been able to make the phone really small by putting the dpad there, if that was the case then it would be a small sacrifice. but the phone is just as big as k810 almost.
and the screen isnt exactly massive, its only slightly smaller then k810, not significantly.

I dont have the phone yet, but my fingers are tiny, double jointed and superiorly nimble compared to normal fingers, so im expecting it to be a nice treat for the fingers.
