..until my battery ran out some time in the night last week, it had been running without a restart since around the second week in september or so. When I flashed the phone, after I tried to restore an old backup over the new firmware version..
(After that I had to restart the phone once because the handwriting recognition software stopped working, though.. It works fine again now, for some reason.. So, I've had four hangs since I bought the phone. Twice while pushing the "back" button in the browser while wlan was connecting. Once when running the wayfinder. And once because of the handwriting software. I can't reproduce the hangs now, though..)

@701, I wonder if all P1s can achieve a comparable uptime. With my previous P990 I had 18 days+ until I manually had to do a restart for some other reason. With my second P990 I got a restart almost everyday, now I'm waiting for my replacement P990 from SE.
Obviously not all the P990s were created equal, so I wonder what the situation with the P1 is...

lol.
I suppose it seems like some people have serious problems with their phones. And it might be interesting to know if maybe the people who have lots of (non- reproducible)bugs also have short uptimes. Maybe it's a heat- problem, or something like that?

@ares: yes, it might be a non-issue but I noticed something: it has all kinds of quirks. For example: I took a lot of pictures and the camera froze. Or the picture come one on top of the other when i review them. Or the videorecorder got really, really, really low quality video ( i set it to high def). Or blurry photos even with autofocus. Or a lot of grain in the images (this didn't happen with P990i). Or last nite when I was reading soemthing in landscape mode and my keylock went on and I couldn't unlock it. I've tried all the things I know and couldn't unlock it. Then I dialed 112 being the only one you can dial and unlock the phone and then i pressed unlock during the call from the upper corner shortcuts and it was ok.
These little damn annoying things that make me swear SE and think the phone is not reliable.

The video is crappy has it was with P990...i use only 176x144 to be able to film at 30 fps
Regarding photos, besides the green problem everybody talks about, i do not see it has worse than P990´s...i just used it has backup camera at Venice and it behaved fine

nipsen, one year ago you´d see this part of esato flooded by people with P990 problems...i was one of the few having a rather stable device...uptime was something to look at then, and even now, with the P990...compare it with the few people reporting (serious) issues on the P1...its another story

*nods*. I suppose.. anyone with these hangs - if they don't stop after a reset and a clean install - probably should get their units replaced.

Update: today, on it's tenth day it froze and I had to restart it. I also took nice pix with mine (I don't have the green tint) but sometimes it sucks.
