considering plankgatan unlike you has a K850 and has taken plenty of picture with it (see the thread below) I think he knows lot more about it than you ever will.

like @qvga said, its really annoying that endless war about cam quality... sorry, but who cares at the end? imo 1 thing is fact, se have got developed fone cams imo then nokia, but still, if sy buys a fone ONLY cos of a camera, i donnow if its very logical or not, cos for 100 euro u can buy a good digi cam and next to it a nice fone, so u payed still the half as for k850...

if im 100% true.....

i think N95 take better landscape, (large pictures)
and
k850 take better indoor, macro (smaller outdoor), Night pics...(and of course flash pictures.....n95 lacks flash)

N82 comes with a real flash...its never to late Nokia

to be honest, i was disappointed any kind of n95 pix, also landscapes...

and yes, the xenon flash is a big positive for se fones, imo they should use it as standard in the future, cos those fone lights are really outdated

n95 pics have such a big contrast.......the colors looks often unreal, (nearly like cartoon)

Well according to this review N95 algorithm outperforms K850:-

http://smape.com/en/reviews/n[....]Ericsson_K850ivsNokia_N95.html

"...The N95 produced a more saturated image with a realistic color rendering. All the small details are still easily distinguishable in the picture which scores it a few more points leaving K850i behind with its blurred and light-struck photos. "

"..It’s easily recognized when you compare the pictures to those taken with a N95 – while the latter keeps the details sharp and colorful, the K850i gives a dull and blurry image. "

"...blaming Nokia handsets for taking unnaturally colored photos. The popularity of this belief is quite comparable to its wrongness. There might be something to it, by so far we’ve only encountered vivid and bright colours in N95 pictures but those by no means looked unreal or unnatural....So it turns out that actually it’s the SE phone that indulges in such a vice as unnatural color rendering – if not always, then at least in a good number of cases. While The N95 image post-processing algorithm does a good job making picture more bright and deep, the K850i tends to corrupt the photos in a way. "

"K850..abundance of yellow is but a corruption of its normally white lightning as seen in real life. N95 did the job quite well, the photos sporting a better detail and color depth"

No offence, but my comment has nothing to do with those pictures but rather with your malicious comment about the flash. It sounded as you wanted to imply he was an idiot not knowing what he is talking about, but obvious from his photographic skills shown in the link I provided he knows how to master his K850 and its flash as it seem (if the pictures are untuched as he claims).

What you fail to see is that while the K850 auto settings may not be the best (I admit the N95 can have a better auto system at times), with little manual fiddeling you can get excelent photos with K850 (perhaps even beter than those taken with N95).

That's all.

LOL ... Kind people of Esato, plankgatan is now the Gold Standard for k850 pictures. All the reviews and comparisons done by 'PROFESSIONALS' on M-R, GSMarena and the many others to come don't mean a thing but what plankgatan says or do should be accepted without question. Way to go buddy! I want some of what you're somking!! lollz

Plankgatans may not be a professional, but he obviously has mastered his K850 very well while your "professionas" have not. You professionals have shown K850 takes less good pictures with auto settings while
the amature plankgatan has shown its possible to take excelent photos with K850 if you fiddle with the manual settings.

Now, what the heck is wrong with that if I may ask ?

on that chinese sites are plenty of comparison pix... might sound weird, but after i zoomed on most of them, me seems, as the n95 pix were the ones made with k850 and the opposite... there si sg wrong with those pix, cant believe that n95 outperforms k850
