Uninstall some of that 3rd party software or do a hard reset.

I updated my firmware yesterday to the same version R9J004

so i dont think there is any need to do hard reset

and just now the fone stopped responding to any network. So i put it in flight mode. and then while i tried to put it back in network mode it rebooted and said "The phone has restarted to improve performance"

this is lame

Reading some of the complaints from other P1 owners, this thing sounds like a Palm Treo, resetting itself all the time. I've had a boatload of Symbian phones, all Nokias, and they've been nothing but stable. The P1 is not impressing me so far. Maybe a firmware update will help, but until I hear of one, and that it's made a difference, I'm avoiding this one.

My P1i is very stable. It has not crashed once, and i had it running for 14 days recently. So I think you can go with it and feel quite confident.

It sounds like it could be to do with your non-generic firmware clashing with the UK network. Either that or the phone is faulty. If I were you I would de-brand the phone (search google) to the generic firmware. If it still doesn't work then get a new phone!

Look, ALL P1 owners say the phone is stable, including me! I mean, who had P900, P990 and M600i before know what I'm talking about. So stop dissing the phone, his phone is broken, he has to fix it in a SE service. What is so hard to understand that things BROKE DOWN sometimes!

@ 701: exactly.

The phone can be faulty, and SE has a lovely history in factory-default bricked phones
