I say don't bother waisting your $ on the PRO version. The quality of the encoded videos is really bad even on the highest quality setting. It's too bad as the program has a lot of potential. Maybe they'll make it better in a future release???

@OfficeMaven,
Thanks for the heads up. GOM encoder does a pretty good job at encoding, with encoding speed at almost 6x (i encoded 20 mins show in less than 4 mins yesterday). You might have had video converter program, just thought to pass this info along

I can't remember (I'm not even sure if it stands for anything, lol). If you google "GOM encoder", you should be able to get the link. It's still freeware till Dec 07.

Okay, just did a quick check on the endoced video... On my W950i, the SEMM PRO version creates MP4 320x240 video at 428 kbps and 15 fps. And that's on the highest quality setting. Oy!
I'm used to using 768 kbps and 30 fps encoded MP4 videos on my phone. They play perfectly.
Looks like Sony Ericsson has some work to do on this bad boy.

for album art to appear on p1's music player, you have to manually place the picture in jpeg format on the artist's folder.... but what i want is a program that automatically places it on the folder while syncing....and hopefully its a freeware!!!! i dont want to buy a software that should've been there in the first place....

If you use a PC and iTunes to organize your music library then SyncMyPortable works absolute wonders with adding folder-based album art on ALL the UIQ3 phones (and most other portable audio devices as well). Alas, it's not freeware. However, it's not expensive either (at under $20 US). Basically, you get what you pay for IMHO.
