I am also having similar problem with my K810i.
The mobile switches ON with a message "PLEASE WAIT".
That's all.
Please tell what is "the guide"?

clear the
login and
password fields, click on
start, press "2" and "5" keys(on celphone. and it must be turned off!), connect the usb cable and it will update the erom

I tried to do it on my laptop, no success because my laptop is to week to run that aplication.
I JUST DID IT ON MY FRIEND'S LAPTOP.
