cos the o2 shop told me that i would not be allowed another (i.e. 4th) box to box swap.

The first one had a bad speaker, the 2nd a duff D pad, and the third has the marginally annoying kepad alignment thing. besides, as all is well regarding hardware faults etc i couldnt be bothered with the hassle of changing again and risk getting another dodgy one. i am content to wait for both the firmware upgrade and a quide on how to get the keypad out so i can reset it.

I had this same issue with my first K850 from CPW, so I had it replaced and my second doesn't suffer from it. However, the back is a bit lose now. Should I go for a third?!

just noticed i have the R1CA037 and the plastic earpiece cover thingy is slightly raised in the center and can be pushed down to the same level as the screen if you press on it......it doesnt seem to creak really, is this what you had sebby and you think I should get it replaced or not? :S

AL3X... my 3rd has R037 and suffers the same speaker cover problem.

Build quality on these things is abysmal. K850 number 2 was built the best but was a software bug fest.

Only ever had one K800 nearly 18 months ago, still works, crashed about 3 times and is built stronger than a strong thing

will you be changing your 3rd one? I dont really see this as a problem if its the only thing, it doesnt creak unless i put it right next to my ear and press it hard, and shouldnt cause any damage to the phone long term so I doubt i will be but have just over 3 weeks to decide

Deciding whether to get it swapped again... the loose speaker cover is creaking and so is the battery cover... makes the phone feel even cheaper build quality wise. My 2nd was built far far better, but the software was useless (029).

Been looking at the N95 8GB as well as the new N82 with Xenon flash. Not sur eI can wait long enough for SE to get this camera sorted for all and the software stable.

BT performance is abysmal on No 3. Great on No 1& 2

thats whats annoying me, this one is perfect in every respect apart from that little problem with earpiece plastic, oh and theres a little bit of the blue ring glow shinees through to the SE logo but i guess thats normal
