wow now this is a very nice phone, this is the only thing that could replace my original 8800. These have a few nice extra bits like the turn the phone over to cancel a call, its weird that no one else has thought of this

Nice phone. Crap form factor.
Why innovate (although it's not new) when it's for the worse? I mean, your fingers should hurt when typing on that thing!
They could have used the space beneath the keypad more optimally, too!

So simple and minimalistic and yet a STUNNING design!

It comes with a 3MP Auto Focus camera, did I read it right?

I'll second that, I think it's rather nice, shame they can't get over the 8800 number though (whats wrong with 8900 or something?).

If the price wasn't so "wheeee up in the sky" I'd think about it

Hmmm...viewing the pictures of the phone in this light make it look alot better than the leaked pictures of the 8800e/8900. Of the two I prefer the Sapphire version BUT I'm not sure about the leather, the changes in texture just seem to ruin the overall minimal design. I think it would be perfect sans leather. Maybe seeing/holding one will change my mind, until then I'll reserve judgement on it. The brown colour certainly gives it a much more "grown up" look over the original silver 8800 (which is staring back at me from the desk as I type this) however I've said it before and I'll say it again, the original 8800 in terms of aesthetic design is probably the best that has ever been produced and I honestly cannot see it ever being beaten for many many years.
