^^No, thats what I thought it was but he's talking about viewing snaps when in preview mode using the switch on the side of the phone.

Correct.
Check the Demo Tour, it was meant to happen in the media menu too, some prototypes had that feature. As well as keyboard light effects when playing music.
Picture sliding effect was obviously planned since it is in the Demo Tour of released phones.

It was only on prototypes. It might appear with one of firmware updates later on when they make good quality drivers for the new platform that K850i uses.
