I can now open mms-messages, and contact names appear when they call me, instead of ther numbers.
The solution was to delete all numbers from my SIM-card. There was no way to do that with my W960 ("reading SIM", but nothing happens), so I had to use an old phone. But it works now!
Still not able to delete sms-messages wtih the c-key, though... Maybe there's a need for a firmware update? Or has anyone solved this?

Okey, i have had the w960i since the 30 of november, have't really hardcore tested it, and i am new to UIQ

The first thing "not a bug" the alarm thing silent really means silent... sucks imo.

Sometimes it crashes but seems more random if i have many apps running "just SE apps" when i means sometime i mean top 5 times since i got it. and it have not destroyed any work just boot the app again.

and it's hard to be pricise with the stylus, i play ScummVM and use the "scribble" funktion for mms it's really fun.

and mark/deleting messages with the stylys can make you cry, if you miss the "check" with the stylus it may open the message and all your "markings" will go away.. this happens ALL the time for me, and managing the phone without stylys is not easy att all ( i know you can change almost everything to grind/big icons) but not the message meny i have it zoomed max.

and due to the small buttons, i tend to by accident hit the "walkmanbutton" as i typ sms, and yeah i need to press back 2-3 times to get to my msg or the back button. but then i get to the standby screen and have to navigate back or use the stylus for taskmanager, if you have nails you can do it without the stylus...

you notice the lack of dpad when you dl a game that not supports tuch or changing keys and button 1 and 2.

And the most anying thing is the camera and the camera meny, i think the picture colors suck and the ability to shoot indoors, dark dark dark, no quick buttons for the effects lamp nor anything like my old phones, you need to use the stylus or jogdial, it takes time you don't have

and the delete C problem, mine says "the file is protected" when i read and whant to delete a msg. i think it's just a safty thing but it takes time to delete trough the more meny.


it whent kinda of topic, there are not that many bugs i have seen =)

just design problems i need to learn to handle

Anyone noticed any memory leakage? Is the menues faster than P990? Does the alarm work with phone off?

nope it's not working it's a symbian thing "i called SE and asked" and i have been told it's faster than p1 and i asume p1 was faster than P990

The selection- thing is a leftover from whatever base they were working on when developing the new firmwares, I think. It was fixed on the m600 and the p1, and probably will be on the w960 later on.

For the pc suite problem, do you mean u cannot install it ? If u can't install it, there is a solution for that. Just extract the pc suite installer using winrar and choose the appropriate version ( PCSuite if u using vista 32 bit or PCSuite x64 if using vista 64 bit ) and don't forget to turn off the UAC in windows vista before u install the pc suite.
