@arunvc
Bose home theatre systems are great, its their headphones where they have gone wrong! (a few of them)......
And did you ever think the k850i might not be able to power the headphones properly? Some mp3 players might not even be able to power certain headphones, thats why we have such things calld "amps".....

My micro sd 8GB just arrived today. I quickly copied 7GB songs in it and plugged into my K850i. It takes a long time (about 5 mins) to get to 100% loading progress. When I try to navigate in the music player, it takes 5 to 10 seconds to show the singers/albums if i scroll down more than 5 lines each time...
Well said by 'Marbolec', check and cross check if any of your music files are corrupted or incorrectly converted or any such irregularity. If thats hard to do(7gb of stuff), then try copying the songs via any music managing software that might have come along with your phone.

i have listen to N95, N82, w810, w910, etc, etc and of course k850...
and w910 and k850 had easily the best sound...
so i cant agree that k850 have bad sound for be a cell phone..if you want louder sound..buy a IPOd.
and its nothing wrong with k850...for me and many more people it runs perfect, (sure sometimes the mediaplyer frezze some ˝second..but tothing more)
...its the software you and some other people have problems with..not the phone it self.

If its slow , try a master reset , If not flash it with a non branded firmware.

Hey everyone.
I too have an 8GB SDHC in my phone and am experiencing some of the same issues.
I accept that it takes a little time (approx 2 mins) for the music to load when you first switch it on, as this doesn't bother me particularly.
What is a bit of a pain is when I try to scroll through the CDs that are loaded onto the card, as this is pretty slow and the album art takes a while to show, despite all of the music being loaded via the supplied SE software.
Today, I transferred a DVD to the card with some success, but the sound is out of sync with the pictures and the playback is slightly jittery. I guess this is down to some form of bug and maybe corrected when the next firmware update comes out, but if anyone knows better, I'm all ears.

Oh, and can anyone tell me what carrying out a master reset will do?
Is it a bit like re-formatting (i.e. does it clear all my call records etc)?

Yes it will revert back to default , you will lose the call history etc.
There are new firmwares out, from what I have seen R1CA029 are used fro Branded UK firmwares.
