The guy I spoke to didn't specify a region but I rang a UK number and he asked what network I was on so I will assume he was referring to UK.

If we know SE right, it is going to take atleast 6 months to get it ready and another 3 to release it

If those 9 months are true that's pretty lame from SE. They will lose A LOT of customers because I'm getting tired of having a BUGGY phone. If this firmware update takes too long I'm gonna end up buying a N95 8GB which has a better camera with sharper pictures, massive memory, sleek black design and WAY BETTER VIDEO RECORDING. But, let's hope that doesn't happen. I am a SE user since my 1st cell phone and I never owned a Nokia. So, let's wait and see......

SE have never taken 9 months to bring out a first firmware update (after product become available) and indeed until today is finished there is no reason to doubt the rumoured update will be made available
just have patience and we will see

if you haven't owned a Nokia before, go for it, but i can attest to the fact that ALL phones regardless of brand have bugs and quirks

shame they take so long about fixing the issues though - gave up waiting
for a fix to the pile of junk they call a flag ship and got a w880i instead !

Well, I've listened to what the man at Sony Ericsson said when he said that there would be an update today and despite what I've read on here, I've just tried to update my phone anyway only to get a message saying my phones got the latest software on it.......

Just updated my phone 10 minutes ago. From 029 to 037. Still have the "Operation Failed" when trying to open Application folder and Games folder. The flash sync issue was resolved now the flash fires at the correct time so night pics are perfect now
. When I delete pics after shot and delete from File Manager instead of Media Managar still get the white thumbnail that stays until you reboot the phone. And Somehow the lens cover doesnt open now. Geez, I guess theres nothing we can do about Sony Ericsson they are just f***ed up. lol
Any other experience that you have keep them posted
