To Ferrarista 44:
There are actually 4 ways possible for a Globe subscriber with T68 to browse POP email Account (like Yahoo)
1. Using T68 email client with GPRS wap
2. Using T68 email client via ISP (either subscribed or prepaid internet access)
3. Using GSM wap mail server portals (like
http://wap.yahoo.com)
4. Using Globexplore.
Since you are a prepaid user, you can only use options 2 to 4. And if you are using yahoo mail, I would recommend you use 3. There is actually a trick so you can browse your mail for free but I can't discuss it here. Just send me a private message if you are interested. No string attached.

Can you retrieve "modem info" from your phones?
It seems that I can't. I'm using an IR connection.

i didnt' have problems with downloading data from my laptop. my usual problem is connecting to the internet. (i can connect to the network, but I can't reach the sites. dns problem???)
i dont think this would be the best place to ask about GPRS settings for the 8310. you may have noticed that it's an

forum.

Your smtp-server should probably be your phone-operators smtp-adress, not you internet-providers.
And use the ip-number instead of the name of the smtp-server.
Works for me

I have been using by email SP's IMAP and SMTP servers without problems.
And use the ip-number instead of the name of the smtp-server.
this can actually work if it's the DNS server youre having problems with

Ferrarista paki-pasa naman yung PM ni gobrutz.

GOWIN : I believe the settings are very different, depending on internet-provider, country and phone-operator. I see all sorts of combinations,..some combinations work for some people, but not for others
I can't use my email-providers smtp-server,..only my phone-operators.
And I can't use the smtp-name,..I have to use the ip-number.
