About your questions man...

- Yes, the button on the right side won't work when you make this change (but, you can leave the original drive of the cam)

- You won't lose the abilities on your cybershot!

About the vantages and disvantages...i wanna discover as well!! =)

some of ur answers are wrong, i've personally flashed my k550 into w610 and found out dat,

1. The cam button on the right side still work. U can change the cam driver.

2. U wont loose any functionalities but u'll loose the cybershot logo when u start ur camera. Camera will not activate automatically when u open the lens cover. Dats the oni disadvantage.

just check this site out, i tried in my K550i and it worked perfectly.
U can find more info abt advantages and disadvantages frm here, including how to mod it.

hey there,I am currently using a K550i.I really didnt like the sound quality and the volume level provided by the back speaker and the earphones.So what i did was just changed my acoustics and camera driver(Chris's cam driver roxx-thnx chris).So now i have the original K550i with excellent sound quality and camera driver.My sound quality is even better than a normal non-modded W810i can u beat that.Only thing missing is flash themes .........for which i really dont care about until my camera and speakers are damn good.So my opinion is just change cam and acoustics >>>>>the phone rocks then

i flashed my k550 and i liked more with w610 firmware, the walkman 2.0 and the flash menus are very good things to have in a phone

the camera quality was the same, i didnt nitice any diference and the sound quality was a little better
