Thanks anyway for your help!

Perhaps someone else knows how to do this, as the info is in the phone, you 'only' need to make it visible. It would be lame if it only works with Nokia and Siemens et al, and not for SE, right?

Techmode.

Write this in Notepad :

Code:<customization>
<network>
<techmode-enabled>true</techmode-enabled>
<techmode-passcode>0000</techmode-passcode>
<techmode-internetbutton>false</techmode-internetbutton>
</network>
</customization>

then Save as... -> customize_upgrade.xml

and put with XS or FAR in tpa\preset\custom

But I hope you can elaborate a little bit: at the mo punching *585*0000# does nothing on my W880i - or is this the code to acces techmode/monitor mode after I install the customize_upgrade.xml file?

Also I'm not sure what you mean with XS or FAR?

Can you please explain a bit further? (pretend I'm a 4yo)
