In New Zealand at Cash Converters they like to offer you half of what they're going to sell it for. You can counter-offer and get it up a bit, or set your initial offer quite high. But really think about it before you go there as they WILL rip you off.
If it is the only way you can sell your things, and you're desperate, then go for it. Its still money and its not so bad if you don't need the things you're selling. But if you have any other, better way of selling, then try that first

I concur! A friend of mine was forced to sell his £800, 7 month old Sony flat screen telly recently and he took it to cash converters. They gave him £250 for it
Unless you literally have loan sharks holding a knife to your throat and there's no other way out, steer well clear of those rob dogs
