Hi all,

Well has the W910 had new firmware yet? as from what many have reported it needs one. I would suggest you read the W910 threads on this Forum as i seem to remember it has quite a few issues which if still unresolved could mean waiting quite a while for new firmwares as it may need more than one.

Currently i think SE are not performing anywhere near as they should especially with newly released devices and new platforms. Are you able to check out the handset prior to purchase as that may allay any fears of build quality and on also i believe the N81 has 3.5m jack which the W910 doesn't. On a SE Forum you are always going to get an bias towards SE obviously but really only you can decide what you prefer and suits you best. Also as it appears you may be in the US which one offers the best support for the bands you can use could be a deciding factor.

Marc

@dogmann
assuming you mean me as one who is biased, i say im not! Personal opinion really, build is one factor i look for when buying a phone, one reason i went back to w880, its very well built, that and i dont need any other features really!

if you want it primarily as a music phone, go the n81, it has both better sound through headphones, and of course speaker!

Id get N81, has Symbian OS so you can increase functionality, WiFi, two huge and LOUD 3D loud speakers, a nice and bright 16million colour display, camera with flash, IMO looks SO MUCH MORE stylish and classy than W910, also has the great 369mhz Freescale CPU so its NOT SLOW!! Its actualy just as fast as a SE JAVA, if you have used an N76, 5700, 6110-Nav etc. . . . You will know.

Its up to u if u r music lover than i suggest u should go for sony w910 bcoz its a complete Walkman phone music player phone it also has high speed connectivity through 3G HSDPA technology.

But i personally like Nokia over sony phones. Battery power of Nokia N81 is around 240 minutes and has standby time of around 17 days. A 2MP camera included in the mobile phone lets a user click still images with up to 1600×1200 pixels can playback AAC, eAAC+, AAC+, MP3, WMA/M4A, WAV, MPEG4, H.264, H.263/3GPP, Real video 8/9/10 file formats. Also accessing internet is fast in this handset
for more Info u can check http://www.mobilephoneshopuk.net/nokia_n81.html

No i didn't mean anyone in particular i was just pointing out that this an SE based Forum and the majority of users are biased towards SE, are you seriously trying to tell me that it is not so? or even not true?

If i was going to name anyone or it was directed at a single person i would of said so, i resent your implication that i was having a snide pop at you as that is just not true, trust me if i wanted to name you or anyone else i would of done so i don't need to take cheap shots unlike some that's not my style.

its a common problem! i played with quite a few at the shop i buy from, were all the same.

you dont need to tell me i could have just gotten a bad one! i know things like that happen, but its not just one, as i said, i played with quite a few!

And many reviews say the same thing.

If there wasnt any other build problems circulating around the internet, then i wouldnt have said it, then i would admit its just a lemon i (my bro) got!

oh coincidently i played with a few today - a friend and i went shopping for a phone, i recommend a few,, final choice was a k770:) they are loving it:)
- i found quite a few n81s a bit rusty..
i found one that was at telechoice that was good, after 5mins playing with it - friend wasnt sure about its thickness - it rattled:s
ohwell there seems to be some n81s with problems and the few we tried at the phone stores...werent all to great (found two of the seven that were fine)
