lol..i was really worried earlier
so i googled "problem updating p990i" and found this forum
thanks you guys
one more question..i bought a 512mb memory card but earlier, i think i removed it while the phone is on and now it says the memory is corrupt (so im back with the stock 64mb card)
is the 512mb one fubared or can i still fix it? coz i tried reformatting and it says reformatting failed

format it with pc, right clivk then format

You'll want to disregard that last bit of advice and reformat it using the phone if you haven't done so already!
It is always best to format a card using the device you intend to use it in!
