perhaps because they already had M2 from a previous ?

that was my reason

That's not my reason.
I have a 1GB TransCen MicroSD and my K850 read that card very slow, compared to 1GB M2 from my W880. So I decided to buy a 4GB M2 and K850 read it faster than 1GB MicroSD.

m2 is faster than microSD but you'll only notice the difference when you are using a card reader

remember that m2 memory were initially made for SE phones, which means that m2 responds faster in SE phones. but micro sd is a lot cheaper, by the way, whats the highest capacity for micro sd so far, m2 made it to 8gb already.

Is there any difference between MicroSD and MicroSDHC?
Is MicroSDHC compatible with K850?
Thanks.
