I think that K810 is better choice, because is not expensive, and the camera resolution 3.2 to 5 mpx not is a great jump, you can waiting a little more, a camera with 5 or more mpx, optical zoom and other functions

See it depends...You know why....if you think that 3.2 megapixel pictures are good enough for your copmuter and printing , if you think that Motion senser is not an important thing and you can live without it....if you believe that in 2008 Sony Ericsson will produce lot's of GPS handset and they might be expensive and you can still ready to use HGE 100 GPS Enabler ...then K810i is the Best Choice.

I faced the same decision recently and went for the K810i Noble Blue.

At the time, people who had got a K850i were expresssing their disappointment with the general quality and software bugs. Despite some recent firmware updates, if you look at some of the K850i threads, people are still pretty disappointed with it.

I'm really glad I went for the K810i. The camera quality is excellent, even some pictures I took at night in Time Square, NY turned out amazingly well, and it's fast.

The music player might look basic but it does the job. I use it with DR-BT20NX bluetooth headphones and the quality is superb. (Even the SE hiss is not present when using bluetooth stereo like this)

Perhaps the best thing is that it won't let you down - the firmware is mature and reliable which for me is very important. I can't be bothered with the hassle of changing the phone or waiting for firmware updates which never materialise because SE think they know better. If they valued their customers they would treat them better.

So out of the two I would recommend the K810i. Don't forget - until a few months ago it was SE's flagship.

The K850 is definitely the best solution for you then!

I agree with Andrew. I just bought my blue k810i yesterday. It's beautiful and and he said, mature. I can't be buying a new phone every couple of months, so it is better for me to wait until it's no longer the "flagship", the price is more reasonable and the most of the bugs have been worked out.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a k850i or an N92 but this was my best option. Especially for the price. $278 US.

Apart from all the things that those who suggest k810 say, with whom I totally agree, I would say you better check the posts about k850 to form your own opinion. I'll just add that I consider as a bad move by SE the glass cover of the lens, which is supposed to protect them, but instead you just have to be cautious all the time not to scratch or break it (so you want be able to take photos until you replace it=$), and of the dust getting under it. In k810 the lens cover does the job it is supposed to do: protect the lens, and if it's hit, scratched or even broken you can still take photos. Personally, I also like more the joystick of k810 than the 4-way buttons. I find it more practical.
Definetely I suggest k810! I just hope the next k series phone doesn't have such problems like the 850.

My K800i died on me at the airport a few montsh ago. I was travelling with a friend who had just upgraded their phone to the K850i and he was kind enough to lend me his new phone as he was happy to continue using his old phone.

After using the K850i for several months, I still don't like it. Like the features but the keypad, touch screen, camera and a few other niggles made me not want to get one myself. I even contemplated switching to Nokia and getting the N82 (which I probably would've if it was available in black). Instead I bought the K810i and I'm happy with it. I would've stuck with the K800i for a little while longer had it not broke.

Next month we should see the replacement of the K850i announced so finger's crossed it will actually be a flagship model this time.

So my advice (for now anyway) would be to go for the K810i.

i look for a good cam & music player in a phone aswell and i use a k800i, you should get the k810i while the k850i media player is better, the k810i has a alot better camera, the extra megapixels in the k850i just make the pictures noisy and grainy due to a small sensor.

Go for the k850, because:
It has a better camera
A lot better musicplayer
HSDPA
A nice 2.2" screen compared to k810's 2.0"
