So after some more tinkering around... I can now Install games (overwrite) and play them, but still cannot access "Games" or "Applications" folder, and still shows 0 files

So a full reload of the firmware will fix it use: xs++ 3.1 and topsony.com for your firmwares...

Flashing softwares wont work on linux.
They will work only on Windows XP and Windows Vista , so are the USBFlash drivers.

best thing would be to borrow a Laptop or a PC , surely someone you know would be having it.
Spend about 5 minutes to flash it, as simple as that.
