Not a bad deal at all
Many people will still wait for players to become cheaper but for those who want to get into high definition films now that is a great starter

I dont see the point in spending £250 on a Blue ray player when you can add a bit more and you get a games console too.
But anyways im happy i didnt by the HD DVD player for the Xbox 360.

It isn't that bad but Blu-Ray has some advantages such as greater capacity and faster data rates. Warner has simply chosen the format they think is best suited to the future of movie discs and as a result made things pretty bleak for HD-DVD
