PC Suite isn't too bad compared to media manager, which is a woeful hog. I thought about maybe using Media Manager, but it's so slow at times it's just not worth it.
So I discovered a trick! In PC Suite there is an button you can click to open Media Manager. I found a way to make this button open any program you want! So I made mine open Disc2Phone instead of media manager. Much more useful to me, since Disc2Phone isn't such a memory hog and can be useful for syncing songs to the phone.
This is what you do:
Open regedit, then go to HKLM\\software\\sony media software\\sony ericsson media manager\\1.0 then edit the key "app path" to any path you want (I used E:\\Program Files\\Sony\\Disc2Phone\\D2P.exe to point to Disc2Phone)

Just downloaded this synch 3.108.00 to use with a K810i and outlook 2000, and it don't work with contacts. I doubled the number of contacts and they were all called "no name" so please exercise caution.

Hi there
Did you find a solution to this? I have the same problem with a W890i and PC Suite either v3.108.00 or 3.204 - no contact names. I had a copy of the old PC Suite which came with my W810i (no problems with that phone) but it won't recognise the new phone. I'm tearing my hair out over this one and considering handing the whole lot back to Orange.
I called Sony and they say they haven't come across this before...

I have tried the new versions and they don't work for me due to the contacts problem though ver 2.10.46 does just what I need, all contacts and calendar 6 months in arrears and 12 months in advance, no deletion on pc when out of date in phone. I'll stay with this version me thinks. How are you trying to connect cable or bt? try the little blue icon below the sync now icon marked how to connect and follow the instructions.
