No probs m8 - glad you got it sorted!
Hi,
I am having the "unable to locate remote server" issue and my W960i is connected to my linksys router.
My router's wireless security is disabled. I am using the MAC filter function for my laptop.
Are you able to advise on this issue I am facing?
Thank you.

I am having the same problem.
Phone connects to router.
But cannot use internet connection.
The IP address on the phone looks good.
Other devices get kicked off the router.
Has anybody had any luck with this?

Hi,
try going into the WLAN account and goto MORE > Advance section and turn the powersave > OFF. i had problem getting on the web and it kept saying 'cannot locate remote server' (very annoying i might add) however i was connected to the router. for some reason by altering the powersave it worked...
hope this helps..

This is my current setup:
Netgear router which the W960i can connect to (although i cannot access the internet via WLAN by clicking on the web icon, i get the web address has failed error, even changing to different address fails. I have turned off 3G)
I am working in Flight Mode so that if any mistakes are made i am not being charged
In my W960i, i have setup email account using all the settings that i use in outlook to retrieve my emails from SKY BROADBAND who is my isp. I have setup POP and SMTP, and changed the SSL security settings.
I may have located your problem...
Flight mode, and the WLAN radio are mutually exclusive. Your phone will stop transmitting through WLAN as soon as you switch to flight mode.

Yes, but WLAN can be used in flight mode, if you just turn it on after you've enabled flight mode.

I was having the same problem. And im having WPA-TKIP security. now I have solved it.
try these pionts.
In your Phone
Disable the Power save option.
If the auto IP acquiring is not working, Go to Internet Account/Select the Wifi connection/edit/more/TCPIP/.... and manually give the IP and DNS numbers.
Make sure that in the Wireless gateway settings the Preamble settings is kept at Long option.
