The n93i is the best camcorder phone i have seen due to its optical zoom and unique design

Its between Viewty and N93i.
LG Viewty has:
120fps at QVGA
Slow motion
Nokia N93i has:
30fps at VGA
3x Optical Zoom
TV-Out to watch the videos.

i would still say n93i wins hands down, because of the 3x optical zoom and formfactor (just like a camcorder)

@ Gola
W900 was great when it came, did the best video when it came out,but it only records in 3GP format and aint that good any more hey.
@ Croatia
N93i does MP4,has TV Out and has 3x Optical Zoom which makes it the closest to a true camcoder.
@ K850successor
I totaly agree, N93i is the best.

excuse my ignorance what which is better.. QVGA or VGA?

p.s. i heard that the VIEWTY even though is suppose to record at 120fps does not have as good video recording quality as the N95?

i can't remember the exact reason i think they said it only records 15secs at 120fps then it goes down to 15 or something.. plus i dont know if it's QVGA or VGA or the whatnot.

VGA (640 by 480) is better its twice the res of QVGA. (320 by 240)

See my posts below to what 120fps is used for. And yes its better than the N95 at normal VGA 30fps video.

Crap. Only 30fps QVGA. Same as K850.

Optical zoom doesnt make a differnce on video mate, thats for stills.

Ok everyone the Nokia high end phones like the N95, N93i and N82 all shoot in VGA at 30fps which is the highest res on the market. Its great in pretty much all conditions even in clubs.

However the LG Viewty also shoots in this res but if you have ever seen clips from either phone you will see that Viewtys quality actually is better than Nokias. The picture is crisper and there is less pixelation in outdoor shots in the background.

It also captures into avi format which is better quality compared with MPEG 4 that the Nokias capture into.

In short the LG Viewty currently has the best video recording on the market. Even the die hard Nokia fans will agree on that one. It was quite unexpected really but they actually managed to out do Nokia on that one.

As for 120fps well thats nice but thats only really for slow motion shots.

As for the rest. SE are still stuck on lousy QVGA. Even though its 30fps we saw that on the W900 so they really should have used VGA.

Samsung G600 captures in VGA 15fps however all Samsungs have a tendancy to get blurry with the framerate dropping the moment yu it low light. Forget about shooting in a club or at night.

So anyway overall Viewty wins hands down in the video dept. With 3 and T mob branded handsets you even get an application pre installed that lets you upload direct to youtube.

If video capture is your only concern then go for the LG. Othrwise go for the Nokia as it has many other features. The LG is basically a dumbphone that takes decent pics and vids.

The only advtange the N93i has over the other Nokias in terms of video is that it uses an additional microphone just for the audio. Otherwise its identical to he rest.

Tell me how does optical zoom make a difference on the N93i video compared to say the N95?
