hi yes all the same info it still just says waiting do any of you think it may work if i try on a computer as up until nw i've been using my laptop any ideas? or am i wasting my time thanks

Well, for starters laptops are still concidered computers as far as i know.
If i were you i would probably follow the guide and repair the EROM and then flash with new firmware.
Did you try any other program than Wotan?
If ALL programs give you a "cant detect phone" im out of ideas.
You could allways send your phone to service. But if you have altered with own FW and what not and they find out
your warranty is broken.

kulan doestn regocnise it either but my laptop sometimes recognises it only sometimes sayin its not recognised but as long as it comes up

if the normal data cable doesnt detect it, im afriad you are going to have to buy a service cable to fix it.
ive had a few k800i's like this and at least 3 of the 8 i have repaired have needed a service cable

I think that sounds pretty strange, i believe what you are saying it just sounds strange with the same modell and all..
TS: Dont you have warranty left on the phone? If you have, why not just leave it in for service and it will be as new when you get it back? (Atleast when it comes to FW)

try installing SEUS after u have installed it try to connect it again to wotan.
or just download the drivers needed. maybe you don't have that "drivers",
i forgot the name of the driver
