Still, I can't get the point of this device. It's wired, right?
Then, what's wrong with just plugging your d*** generic charger in the phone?
you can charge two at the same time and you can just pick it up rather than pulling the cord from your fone when u need to use it
wow?

i don't think it is that great since it makes the mini-usb port on the V3 phone useless (no handsfree, no computer, no accesories) unless off course you do all that via bluetooth. i will be a lot better if the batterycover would connect directly to the battery.
imagine on SE phones it would mean no fastport available.

@kenoby
u are right
"Nikola Tesla had two patents that he claimed would enable long distance power transmission.
Tesla coil transformer wound in the form of a flat spiral. This is the transmitter form as described in U.S. Patent 645,576 .Tesla, in U.S. Patent 0,645,576 System of Transmission of Electrical Energy and U.S. Patent 0,649,621 Apparatus for Transmission of Electrical Energy, described new and useful combinations of transformer coils. The transmitting coil or conductor arranged and excited to cause currents or oscillation to propagate through conduction through the natural medium from one point to another remote point therefrom and a receiver coil or conductor of the transmitted signals.[14] The production of currents of very high potential could be attained in these coils"

^^^ Imagine the world without wires and paying for the power used. Who would lose the most in that situation?

i think the product has nothing to do with wireless charging and Tesla. if you look at the pictures on the website the phones must have a special adapter and must be on top and in contact with the chargepad. only then it gets charged thru the contacts on the battery door of the phone.
it is just like a multiple device deskstand with the disadvantage that the deskstand has the port replicator so you can use it while charging while this pad does not.

5years ago a company called Splash power demonstrated it on cebit with several phones. It worked without any problems.
Today its still not out yet.
Such ways of charging would be a great thing for many people.
And no more messing arround with all those wires.
Telsa technology is something completly diffirent. It uses raw electricity instead of a magnetic field.

@ Tonchy, sorry for not being thorough. I thought of Tesla when I read "wireless transfer". The adapter indeed has a contact with the pad.

No problem i just wanted to make sure people did not get the wrong impression. i also think it is a very costy charger so i would not be getting one even if they decide to support fastport later on.
UNLESS they work together with

to make the adapter work as the FM radio antenna so we don't have to plugin the handsfree in order to listen to the radio . wouldn't that be cool?
