When I was having problems with my previous P990, the SE tech (oddly he knew his stuff ) told me to use the mains to charge my P990 as USB charge isn't as effective.
USB charging is for emergency purposes, for normal charging you should use the mains.

is it true? tat using usb charging also discharges batt? wow..like tat there is really an advantage of charging wit usb.

It does not discharge the battery as such, what I have found is that when you charge it by USB it discharges faster ie the phone does not hold on the charge for as long as it should be.

so u mean is like when it cant charge than wil somehow discharge abit than charge than discharge abit than charge?
