Well..they clearly invented a time machine aswell then. And stole my idea from here and went back in time and implemented it.

I see one problem...
people could misuse the system by half inching someones phone and end up sending all their credit to themselves!!!
plus what about contracts?

yeah we can do that here too, have been able to for quite a while!
i know both Telstra and Optus allow it, not sure about Vodafone and 3 though.
Only works on pre-paid/payg though (obviously)

All networks here in the philippines have been providing this type of service (send texts and credits to somebody else) for the past 3 years.
If you would've thought of this more than 3 years ago, they must have stolen your idea as well.

We can send credits here too...
Almost all providers here can do that : Telkomsel, XL, Indosat, 3, etc.
