Hey Guys!
Sorry about the wait - I have been a bit busy lol!
Well, to begin, for those who don't know, the SO905iCS is Sony Ericsson Japan's (Herein referred to as SEMCJ) equivalent of our K850i. It is engineered and designed completely by Sony, rather than Ericsson (Unlike the K850i - Ericsson), and runs on a version of Symbian called MOAP.
The handset is built extremely well, and feels sturdy in the hand, with a smooth slick slide - the materials are matt finish and do not attract Fingerprints and the scroll wheel is very tactile, and easy to use. MicroSD, Charger and Headphone ports are coverd by metallic finish hinged doors, and the handset is made mainly from solid ABS plastic. For me, it feels very much like the S700i of years gone by, Build quality wise.
It works on the Symbian MOAP platform, which is a breeze to get used to, within a day or so - although nothing like UIQ or S60 or even A200.
With that in mind, it comes with 512mb built in memory, and an external MicroSD is purchased separately, (note also, the charger, USB cable and PHF is also separate, you only get the Handset, battery and back cover in the box, Japan's version of Nickel and Dimeing)! It uses the same accessories as the Sharp 903SH, so no problems getting these bits.
The large 2.7 inch screen is sharp and bright, and with Sony's BRAVIA RealityMAX Engine running to power the display, videos look amazing and sharp.
The Media player is Music only, and Video is played back through the 'i-motion' player - one downside is that it onlys supports WMA and AAC file formats, mp3 is not an option! Video is in .mp4 and .3gp, so again - no issues there. It is fast,a dn has no lag with sync'g if Video and Audio, unlike K850i.
There are lots of other 'Japan Only' features, such as Osaifu Keitai, Felicia and i-mode (no, o2's i-mode does not work) - plus, the GPS only works in Japan - which is a downside.
Of course - the most important feature is the Cyber-shot camera, which all in all is very impressive - although it leaves you wondering, why no Xenon Flash - as the 'PhotoFlash' LED is nothing short of Average...
Those of you who keep on insisting the C902's PhotoFlash is better than Xenon, we know Sony Ericsson are AMAZING, but come on - Xenon Flash is always going to deliver more punch than a LED Flash!
The Reds are RED and the colours are Punchy and Sharp - all in all very impressive.
A full review of the Camera will be posted with Sample images, showing PhotoFlash and 3x Optical Zoom...

im little confused. ive been looking at quite many SO905iCS pics at Flickr.com and quite many looks little blurry, not bad either. maybe it needs a newer camera driver, i dont know.
does anyone know which kind of sensor it use ????
(i dont think it use IMX-018 like K850)
i think its only c902 who comes with the new photo flash. or does 905 also comes with the new photo flash ???

Well, So far, the camera has been great - I'll be posting a few pics here - the PhotoFlash LED is the same as the one on the C902 - very disappointing - Look forward to more on Shiho, or indeed the SO906iCS...

@PK
Cheers Dude,
Its a Great phone, really - Outshines the K850i in all but a few places, namely, the Xenon Flash, XMB, Ease of Media transfer and BLUETOOTH!!!
Well, I look forward to SO906iCS, probably while im out there - after all, DoCoMo 90Xi Series only lasts a few months...before a refresh!

@plankgatan
The SO905iCS uses a junior version of the Exmor Sensor found in the A700 DSLR by Sony...

bit off topic: why do they call their mobiles on such a way like "SO905iCS" ?
is it a trend in japan? who can remember such a long model name? i mean n95 or w880 its easy to get.

@Boba
Its because on the DoCoMo network, there is always a series of handsets, released regularly, such as 901i, 902i, 903i and so on - we are now at 905i and the CS standing for 'Cyber-shot'. Panasonic have their 'Viera' handset, the P905i like Sony Ericsson released the BRAVIAŽ SO903iTV two line ups back...
The SO stands for 'Sony' - and of course, the 905i for DoCoMo's naming convention - so its not really decided by Sony Ericsson - moreso DoCoMo who control the naming - and the features too!!
